Red Rubber is a general purpose gasket material made from styrene butadiene rubber for low pressure sealing applications. Its flexible, compressible construction conforms well to flange surfaces and offers good abrasion resistance. It is commonly fabricated into gaskets for water, air, plumbing, pipe flanges, pumps, and general industrial equipment. Red rubber is not recommended for use with oils, fuels, or solvents. It is available in 1/16 inch, 1/8 inch, and 1/4 inch thicknesses, with widths up to 36 inches and a maximum temperature of 158°F.
